  1. In our first session on our bible study we just basically went over together what we would be learning and making the connections of why it is important and how application of it to our daily lives would make us stronger in our faith and better people over all.

    It was such a blessing to be a part of and to again have fellowship and meaningful discussion. I am so excited about this study. As I can see that it is exactly what I am in need of. I heard something just a few days ago that really touched home with me. “God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason. We are to listen twice as much as we speak.” I felt like the person was speaking directly to me when they said that.

    I need to learn to be still and just listen.

    eskielover: Living….the importance of this study is how relevant it is in our lives

    eskielover: To be filled with the Holy Spirit fills us with the fruit of the Spirit
    eskielover: that doesn’t just change our life….IT CHANGES OUR DAY

    eskielover: & has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come

    eskielover: My circumstances are often beyond me

    eskielover: We don’t want you to be uninformed about the hardships
    eskielover: we suffered under great pressure far beyond our ability
    eskielover: to endure so that we despaired even of life
    eskielover: (this was when they were preaching about Christ)
    eskielover: But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves
    eskielover: but on God, who raises the dead
    eskielover: I think for me, the hardships that God gives me are at the time when I am thinking it’s all about me

    eskielover: Then there are the daily demands that are beyond me

    eskielover: To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy which so powerfully works in me
    eskielover: Everything that is part of our life requires so much that without God, we can’t possibly do what is needed
    eskielover: Then comes YOURSELF….the powerful misery-maker
    eskielover: we tend to be self -absorbed & living inside of ourselves with all the demands on us
    SeptemberMorn: OUCH It’s true.

    eskielover: gives hope but takes work….lol
    eskielover: Woe to you…….clean the outside of the cup & dish but inside is full of greed & self-indulgence

    eskielover: I know it’s amazing when I come to some of that inside stuff, the outside shapes up…..

    eskielover: 2) freedom that only comes through a life filled with the Holy Spirit
    eskielover: It is that lie that displays the character traits called the fruit of the Spirit
    eskielover: (that’s where this is all heading to is that study)
    eskielover: 3) discover that the character of Jesus can be a reality in the life
    eskielover: if an EVERYDAY believer

    eskielover: When I went through this Bible study starting in Feb….I was really at a place where this was needed
    recluse1: i am at that place myself right now. so this is an answered prayer for me
    SeptemberMorn: I feel I need it now. Too much of what you have said … IDK… rings a bell or something.
    recluse1: I thank God for bringing us all together for this!
    eskielover: I know for me….this is wonderful because I didn’t get enough out of it he first time
    SeptemberMorn: He had a purpose when the SF got changed
    eskielover: I know that God has placed this here for a definite reason

    eskielover: I think that also……it seems that he works that way……things change….then he provides the seeds of ideas to make the changes he really wants
